So how is Technical Writing at Broadcom? Would the existing writers at CA make their way to BRCM by being absorbed by Engg or would Prod Marketing absorb them? Would they handle multiple writers? Would the NA positions move to ITC?

Is it true that 40% of the writers will be on the Nov 5 list?
The ITC leaders are completely clueless or they are very good actors.
Most distributed products will be divested and any that remain will go into bare minimum mode in ITC. Mainframe has tons of profitable products and not all of them will go to Prague. They have to continue developing money makers in NA. So many products have been sent to PTC and ITC only to come back to NA.
CA has hundreds of products. The CA business unit of Broadcom will have far less. Many products will be sold off to private equity within the first few months as CA is carved up like a roast.
Most writers great especially in NA. Broadcom writers mostly editors of verbose developer writing. CA has hundreds of products.
Somebody is too J that they couldn't make it here...
I'm holding out hope that CA tech writing will be completely nuked. Seriously, working with them is nothing but a pain. Either they "need their quiet time", or the ridiculous amount of time they spent wordsmithing a single Confluence wiki page (which literally anyone can do - look at Wikipedia), it's just waste. Broadcom would be well served to replace all of those incompetents with their own staff.
This tram is helping CA to maintain gender diversity ratio. If hockey cares for it, he may keep 50%. Otherwise it can be cut down by70%

@VszO2ra-1wuf, then what is an engineering team?
Engg is not a sponge to absorb stuff
I'd rather sell chai than work for Wipro.
My 7 year old daughter can writer better than that. What trash.
Glad it’s the end of know nothing PG the worst SVP we’ve had. ABSOLUTELY no communication. Nobody must be giving him breadcrumbs to be honest.
I worked as a contractor to Broadcom in Irvine, CA. They have some very nice benfits, but they have some very negative benifits.
Where do you work where a company hires a contractor and then after a few months decides they are no longer want them? Even if they got you good reviews for the time you were there? Is not the best experience.
If want a job work for them. But don't expect them to keep you if anything they don't like shows up. That can even be a hang nail. They don't care about the contractors... maybe they do with real life employees.. but I don't think so.
Wipro does a lot of Writing for BRCM so you may be offered to Wipro. They are known to be frugal kings so can’t see how they can retain US writers. Maybe just India and Prague!
A credible source says it’s a 50% reduction in Writing on day 1. If I was a writer I’d look out. And it will no longer be a central unit. It will be direct reporting to PM
Engineers cover documentation at BRCM. Editors are available as a checkpoint before releases. But enterprise software maybe different and may require writer to help navigate the multiple configurations.
