Don't have to drive to the seedy part of town (or 3 towns away) to go to a Sears anymore.

@nmk why would you need 2 guys to do a tire job? Makes total sense this would become a thing. Various companies have been doing windshields, detailing, and even oil changes as a mobile service for years. You have added overhead for the vehicle, but don't have the overhead of a commercial location.
"Won't work" is what got this company into this mess. Most famously by discontinuing the service to deliver goods to people's homes so they never even need to come to a physical store. Turns out...that works.
Where did the op say you must go to Sears? No wonder this company is so f---ed.
If OP bothered to scroll down to the reviews they might find that NONE of the reviews are for sears; and that installation was not done at Sears. There are hundreds of vendors that offer tire installation services.. but none made a big hoopla. Sears is among the last of vendors to ask to be included as an option. You may eventually find a review for a Sears Tire Install... but they are certainly not at the top of the list..
So what do you see in the reviews:
Tire House
vegas Tire Super Center
Gallito Tires
Braeger Chevrolet
Auto Check Elite
CD Tire
Apex Auto
Zip Tire
Superior Wholesale
...
2 guys @ 40 minutes plus mileage, gas, wear & tear, breaks, meals wotr etc... etc....
Don't hardly see this becoming a mainstream service :-(

"Our mobile service van will come to your home or work and mount and balance your new tires onsite!"
Oops
@VsXA8hj - the OP
@-elk
The service is provided at a location in your hometown not at your living quarters
Course that would have been nice benefit
@zni must be a Sears IT worker LOL.
@kfr, agreed there are way too many good tire stores to shop at Sears. But I think the point is the Amazon-Sears tire installation deal is effectively dead.
There's a f---ing button on the page that says "At Home". What exactly do you think that means?
I have at least 20 tire stores within two miles of my house. I don’t see the need to drive three towns away. Or is it that Sears manufactures better than Michelin, Pirelli or Firestone? I’ll do a quick google search on the benefits of Sears tires. The point you can’t seem to comprehend is that Sears no longer offers anything that people need, want or can’t find someplace else. Make yourselves relevant again or accept the inevitable.
Instead of just being a jerk, how about providing evidence to back up your claim? I quoted the description provided by Amazon.
There's @wxu your lack of reading comprehension doesn't change the fact that at home services are offered in addition to on-site. And a quick google search shows mobile balancing machines are readily available. But hey, dream on.
Sears does have a few trucks that would install tires at a customers house. It was on pebble a year or so ago. Now sure if they are still doing it
Looks to me like it's not actually at home. "Replacing up to 2 customer-provided tires at the pro's location" = you go to the tire shop. At-home would be a lousy tradeoff for convenience anyway, since they can't bring a balancing machine.
