Thread regarding Sears layoffs

What can be done?

This is a new low, even for Sears. Dropping under $1 pretty much seals our fate. I'm starting to finally accept there is absolutely nothing that we can do right now that would reverse the direction of where this company is going.

Am I wrong? Is there anything left to be done that could prevent bankruptcy and/or liquidation?

If you can, make sure you have enough money saved so you'll be able to have your own "golden parachute" to make the transition in searching for another job much easier.

Also, don't be making any major purchases such as a house or car if you know that there is a very good chance that your employer is going under (like SHLD)!!

I'm sorry, I just can't believe it could take someone so long to wake up...

The price of our stock means nothing when one man owns so much

The filter on this site isn't very smart, it blocked that just in case you were trying to say those letters without the 's' and the 'yard'. ;-)

LOL - They actually censored the "r" in the last word. Guess I should have used the term junkyard.

@OP - "I'm starting to finally accept there is absolutely nothing that we can do right now that would reverse the direction of where this company is going."

You're a little late to the party. SHLD jumped the rails years ago and has been a slow-motion train wreck ever since! The only destination SHLD is headed for is the sc-apyard.
