Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Fidelity is getting more serious with cryptocurrency products

This is not layoff related, but here it goes anyway. Abigail Johnson stated that Fidelity will start launching cryptocurrency based products by the end of the year. We’ll see how this one pans out, as her statement wasn’t too detailed, but I sure hope it does happen. Personally think this is a right move, and not a moment too soon. Al the other big players are also turning towards cryptocurrency products and planning to launch them sooner rather than later.Think it’s important for the company to get a good starting position here, because chances are this is gonna be a booming market in a year or two.

This is a smart move and long planned. Not a surprise, and FDAS will be very successful. Blockchain issued assets are the future of financial services, a Fidelity will be a leader largely due to Abby’s leadership.

CryptoCurrency is too risky. I certainly hope Fidelity moves slowly on this.

Crypto is a scam, fits right into the Fidelity business model nicely.
