You gotta go

They got rid of our whole department in Arizona. They are laying off people left and right.

We will have a total of four lay offs by the end of the year.

Four teams impacted by this and they’re not honest about anything at all. They’re just tapping people on the shoulder and say “you gotta go” and that’s it. No notice, no being pushed or moved to another position or anything. They value temps more because they’re easy to move .

It’s a bunch of confusion and dishonestly and disorganization at Aetna. I’m so upset...

they are hiring nurses now. Why lay off in Dec and hire now? Are they hiring in at lower salaries or what? So odd.

In the world of nursing shortages, after merger completed, Nurses getting laid off left and right, I myself included after 13 + yes. Effective 12/31/18. Just like the so called caring company, and standard practice , informed most of us employees, right before TG, Christmas holiday, so that we may enjoy our Holidays immensely! NOT

Seniority means nothing, your loyalty and hard work mean nothing, merger complete , so bye bye Aetna employees, we don’t need you anymore😗 though they may care about the Members because that brings the revenue in, care Nothing about there employees!!!

Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated were hit by the layoffs, both Medicaid plans in AZ with Aetna

I hope the OP returns to tell us what department—Medicare, Medicaid or commercial.

I know the whole UM and PA was laid off in the Phoenix office.

What department? I work in Arizona and haven’t heard of any layoffs.
