Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

All but 2 retail stores will be closed.

All the stores will be closed by Nov. 16 2018. Makes me sick how the paragraphs filled with corporate jargon make it seem like a great thing and pretend that customers love using the internet or the phone to deal with issues or buying new service. Personally I am young and i just got this job not too long ago so i dont really care but i really feel for those who have children.

The problem with that is that it is bad for the consumer. The customers are being left with no choice but cable who are gaining somewhat of monopoly as a result. The merger never should have been approved.

What you people all fail to realize is the new management does not want to be in the local phone business. All they want to do is fiber transport. They want nothing to do with all the 911 centers either, they would like to see them all go away to get rid of the liability.

That's old CTL talk. New management recognizes the lack of profit on the old way. Other jobs out there.

This company is running themselves into the ground. Pushing the technicians with unrealistic expectations and not giving a c-ap about the subscribers. They are doomed
