So far the layoffs have been good in MDC. Mostly just getting rid of dead wood.
I have been through a disastrous merger before, in this case, there is 50 billion dollar debt. Layoffs will continue to happen in each quarter for a decade or so would be my educated guess.
There is too much of coverage about India layoffs.. come on. One program manager of destination Txx. Don't panic. May be it was not a layoff.. who knows he might have been thrown out by the new management for behavioral issues or some c-ap.. may be he was picking unnecessary fights and he was just shown where the door was.... as simple as that.
Layoffs in NC and SC will start Monday. They only got a week reprieve due to the Hurricane.
India employs cheap labor. No real cost benefit for layoffs. There is a possibility that sole person who got impacted on performance reason will get hired in another group say SC.. who cares about the performance as long as you are cheap labor and have connections at top..
India COE is fine. No layoffs. No need for panic. I hear only one person was asked to GO.. some program manager in DT cyclone. This was for performance reason. In that sense can't be considered as usual layoff.

Layoffs will never stop. They happen in cycles and always have had. I recon DTS as a whole have finished most of the rationalization programs, but there's still work to do. Other than that, cyclical WFRs will occur every 6 months or so as priorities shift and investment is required in new ventures. This will always happen. On the positive side, you'll see a big push in recruitment on field sales and inside sales - including presales.

India no one was impacted. That program manager of Destination Tr.. was performance related. They are already hiring a replacement.
