Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Cheerleader

I have been wondering what the cheerleaders endgame is. They try to push down and hide relevant posts. I thought at first it was to block negative press or hide the truth from employees. But I think what they really are doing is hiding this info from the prospective hires that they desperately need for seasonal and temporary positions. And of course to replace the low level employees who are quitting in droves. Kohls, Target, and Walmart are viciously hiring more workers sooner than ever before at much better terms. Sears may soon very well have a hire crunch in low level workers. And the bottom barrel that do stay through onboarding quit within weeks 90% time. How many stores are retaining adequate low level staff or have seasonals that came on board yet?

If it's some delusional stockholder, good luck. Time might be better spent finding a new investment.

These are people who own the stock. They will spend all day going to every website associated with the company tthat hey can find and "pump" the company.

@2dgz Disk space is getting cheaper and cheaper every year. And text posts take up very little space. I have no idea what this site's policy is, but the Toys R Us section is still up, https://www.thelayoff.com/toys-r-us

I see where someone has personal knowledge of a paid poster on here. Since there is no way to verify anything on here, I will choose to believe him or her. There are people from Sears who still respond to negative Facebook comments and there are people that do the same or more accurately direct them to the phone on SYW so to me, it's not a great leap to believe that someone posts here as part of their job. Poking around certain SHC outlook groups has shown me that there are quite a few employees that have to make up tasks to justify their employment. This would be an extension of that.

What's it going to matter anyway, if the cheerleader gets paid or not. Besides, the whole Sears and Kmart portions of this layoff board will be completely gone as will all the posts, once Sears Holdings goes out of business. It would make no sense for the forum administer to waste valuable disk space for a defunct business, when it finally goes under. And personally, I don't believe the cheerleader would have any "say so" in the matter, which is good.

Provide evidence that he is paid? I doubt the company would throw money into PR on a layoff forum.

Like what, a photo of him typing a post?

I have personal knowledge of this, but no matter what I say you will continue with your provide evidence mantra. Shut up, asshat.

Cheerleaders primary motivation is to push the posts down the page, I known cause I do it sometimes when it effects my team negatively. Using inflammatory language is also another useful tactic to remove a post

Hello control freak manager, I am the only one who seems to have enough backbone to buck you, now that we have an admission of you being a spineless shill maybe more folks will stand up to your bee ess

Notice that the cheerleader has been pretty quiet all day, and does most of their posting at around midnight or later. Where do they work hours like that? Hmmmm.

Great reminder of the first Gulf War when the walls were closing in on Saddam and there'd be a press conference with Bagdad Bob telling us all what what happening on the front.

Sorry cheerleader, that moment has passed. There are much bigger forces in control of Sears fate now than simply needing employees to grind it out for a little while longer.

Don’t discount the possibility that they are truly so dillusional that they believe what they are posting.

Seem like a lot of work for a troll.

Or they are being paid to post.
