Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Confirmed store closing list.

I can confirm that the designated store closing list is in fact a list of stores that will be announced for closure soon. I cannot reveal who I am because as of now, I still work for the company (but am in process of exiting). I am surprised at how many Sears employees are still loyal to this company and still believe its empty rhetoric after the long history of abuses and lies it has perpetrated. I am very sorry I ever had any relations with this company, and I know many others are as well. Eddie Lampert and most of the people under him in upper management are in my opinion sociopaths. My advice to anyone still working at Sears would be to find other employment ASAP. I know that certain people posting in the company's interests will refute what I have written here, so be it.

No OP. It seems pretty well laid out in the court papers, as much as I can understand it. The rest of the stores close before the 400 are auctioned in January 2019 with "that guy" as the stalking horse bidder.

2315 Jensen Beach Fla is on the list,,, It closed around 20 years ago, shortly after a new store opened down the road in Vero Beach.

"Gee...what a profound genius you are"...

Apparently you are not a genius to understand the point of that....

The OP from the closing store list post gets all high and mighty expecting apologies where in actuality, he will have just lucked out if the list turns out to be true....as nothing was and is still not confirmed and media has not picked up on the list a full day after it was posted here.

Don't understand the controversy about the designated store closing list. That list was made for a reason and the order the stores were listed in appeared significant. When I saw the list earlier, I thought that the next stores to close would be the stores on this list. Most likely in the order given. Meaning that if some were going to be saved they would most likely be the ones at the bottom of the list.

I also didn't see any names besides Eddie Lampert's in this thread so what do I know?

The entire company is done and won't be here come January.

Only a hopeless dumb--s would believe otherwise.

"I'm the that posted the list yesterday and I expect apologies......"

And a stopped clock is only right twice a

day"...

Either the new closing list turns out to be accurate....or it does not......50/50 chance......Flip a coin.....If Sears decides to follow through and close everything on that list, then your post will be accurate....Until then, pure speculation.

Can find the “speculative store closing list” here: @VUIaO05 ( 211 stores listed). Again, nothing is confirmed yet.

There is still no master store closing list for the second round of closings posted to the bankruptcy docket. The list posted here is purely speculative, although it seems many of these stores will eventually close to fit with the publicly mentioned ~400 store chain Eddie wants to bid for.

Until that document is posted to the bankruptcy docket, there is no official list.

Why in the hell is there a field asking for your name in the reply box if you can't post names?

My store is dead. Have not sold a mattress set in 3 weeks now. Sitting on my a-- waiting for the grim reaper to finally get here. Vultures are circling, waiting for the store closing signs to go up. Friday?

Looks like the real estate and the bankruptcy judge is not all Sears owns.
