Thread regarding McDermott International Inc. layoffs

Never felt less appreciated, noticed, or valued.

Twenty-one years and never once have I waivered in my loyalty to CB&I. When McDermott took over, I made a commitment to do the same with them, and I did. It’s how I was brought up. However, I have never been approached, provided any encouragement, or been made to feel anybody knows I exist.

I hope there will be jobs available for us, now that we’ve been thrown to the curb.

McDermott, you did a terrible job of reorganizing, and the overall moral of the company is proof. I don’t think you care(d), and I’m certain you won’t now.

Good luck my friends

I get paid really good here for what I do here too. Yep, watching Netflix and reading this board. Time for a nap.

I came from another company to McDermott. I haven't been here as long as some but have been well paid for what I bring.

If you are not in executive management you are nothing, didn't you know that. You are a widget!

Micromanagement, trying to cut corners and not paying attention to the business. Management operates like this so they can get a bigger bonus. The employees and customers suffer. Word gets out then nobody wants your c-ap. Especially when you put lives at risk.

All that matters is returns, not the people. Instead of one mcdermott way it should have been people centered. F-ck'em.....all we can do is find another job and do a halfa-s one here until then. Homer simpson said it once, dont quit that makes easy on management. Just do a halfas- job and they will struggle to figure out what the problem is.
