You can hope only for general info about where to look and what to expect, not the actual names of law firms as advertising is not allowed here.

Unless you've got a pile of legitimate written or legally recorded evidence (not hearsay or verbal reports) that favors your case, it's not worth the trouble to even make the initial call to an attorney. ORCL HR is way too careful to make mistakes in this area and like has been mentioned, you'd be forfeiting any severance dollars coming your way. Take the payout and spend your time instead on finding a new job. Good luck.

Laws can be changed, new precedents can be set. Reporting like the ProPublica report on IBM’s age discrimination provides facts. And IBM just bought RH. You can bet their activities around hiring and firing will be heavily scrutinized. Things change, they are changing right now. Don’t listen to those who try to define your sense of justice.

And why would you think it's discrimination? Just because you're rif'd doen't automatically mean anything illegal has been done. Like it or not, state and federal laws allow companies to get rid of pretty much who ever they want, very little oversight on how the choice is made. It's at will employment, and you don't have to give them a notice and they don't have to give you one either. Many have fought the big O lawyers and lost, so unless you're really qualified under federal law as a protected class, good luck on winning a discrimination suit. And you'd lose all your severance, take it and get a new job elsewhere. No one owes you a job at Oracle.

You can't afford to battle Big O's lawyers.
