I've heard that too. There will be no severance for employees who are let go. You can collect unemployment (that's a law that even Barnes and Noble can't change), but no cushion or package for anyone. Pretty awful, especially for employees who've been at the store for a long time but consistent with the terrible behavior of Barnes lately.
I wonder if they'll do away with paying people their vacation time too. You get some of that when you're laid off.

Yes. It started with the major layoffs in Feb 2018 of the most experienced / lead workers who were making a bit too much according to corporate. It's been a bit non-active lately of posts, but get ready for after holidays and probably a countdown to FEBRUARY Stage 2 and No Severance.
