Repost from older thread- This is awful, so sorry for you and your team - you, me and all the other hard working associates who made Anthem a formerly reputable company deserve so much better than what we are getting under the current regressive ELT who don’t have the skills to keep this place running with real business Initiatives and innovative thinking. Constant layoffs and offshoring as the way to success - lazy and weak. Guess shareholders ok with that and poor members are clearly not a priority

Just got news that our entire outpatient UM team just got notified that we will be replaced by off-shoring to the Philippines. Payed of be earl 2020.

Rumor has it that layoffs will happen today and again in July
13 people got relocated to Virginia to be laid off 6 weeks later -- uprooted their lives, their childrens lives -- sold homes -- to be laid off 6 weeks later! How is this caring about your employees?
I have sat in my cubicle for the past two years and watched the Norfolk Virginia Anthem office workforce be replaced by foreign workers from India while the number of American workers decreased dramatically. Most of the work I do is now being off shored to India. Today 03.20.19 as I looked at the work inventory in the department I work in it is is almost gone. So heartbreaking but American Healthcare Company could care less. This "American" health insurance company has chosen to replace American workers with a foreign workforce at a dirt cheap wage so someone at the top can make another dollar. Shame on you Anthem!!!!
100 Nurses from Anthem got laid off today (1/31/19)!
They lost the Medicaid Kansas Market and are trying to "right size" health plans who have not been responsible with hiring practices. There is much more to come.

This site is worthless. 48 views. You get better information off glassdoor or indeed. Dont rely on information on this site. Your better off calling Anthem directly in regards to employment opportunities.

I expect the usual round of layoffs right near the holiday season, but to what extent is unknown right now. I think it depends on the political climate, especially around the midterm elections, and how the Q3 earnings report go. Either way, my resume is updated and ready.
