I left Winnstream a little while back. I really liked the vast majority of my coworkers and one common theme as we all wanted to take care of the customers. That being said, the customers hated us. In an attempt to help, I tried calling the NOC a few times on their behalf to help cut through the red tape. At the end of those Long, arduous, pain staking calls I thought to myself “...no wonder they hate us!” I know this is related to layoffs, my thought is yes there will be continued laid offs, probably strategically timed after financials are released as usual. My personal feeling is that Windstream cannot turn this ship around, the only way they can recover is to be bought out and be renamed. Not rebranded (WE🙄). Not out sourced and re-organized. Completely bought out completely, overhauled and completely re-named. Best wishes for those of you who are still there and trying to take care of the customers.

If they jettisoned the clowns running the show years ago and brought in people who knew how to run a company (the board of directors would never agree to this), there might have been enough time to clean out the disease that the VP's created and could have righted the ship.
But it is too late, the VP's and TT will ride off into the sunset with their golden parachutes once they wrap things up here, they know they could have hired competent people to run the company and make more of a profit, and increase their golden parachutes even more - imagine if they had decided to stay a smaller company that didn't over-extend itself like Cincinnati Bell - I guess TT thought he could compete with Centurylink and Frontier?
They will be s---ed up by another company like Fairpoint was, and all the worthless executives will be cut loose. WE is quickly following them - bungled acquisitions, soon to file for bankruptcy, then they were eventually acquired at a huge discount. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FairPoint_Communications
