Those "non-prodiuctive and non-invovated mature worker over 40s" are more important than you think. They're the only people that can manage the "non-inovated" processes and tools IBM uses.
First round to hit Services is due on Jan 28.
@1mbpw writes like a mo--n, and I’m sure deliberately for camouflage, but I have to agree the design teams are less than worthless. On every product I’ve worked on, the designers are called in to lead the parade but haven’t a clue what the product does. Of course the real problem is management from the top down to the first line. What astonishes me most is that anyone buys anything from IBM. I guess marketing does a great job. Sad what tech has become.
I think IBM should layoff there are a lot of the people are not invovate, most older IBMers more talk to actually do the work included the Canda teams and Austin Texas - WCAG Accessiity, IBM design teams are waste IBM budget. Hire mote new IBM replaced the oid ones that is new market direction. IBM have so many teams have no revenue generate as memtion above (IBM userabilty, accessibilty, IBM designer teams) upper mamager should look closer to team) here is example people non-productive memebers in the IBM Austie team like Mcheal Growe, Diane Magrita....manager (Si) he is spanish he taking care of Spanish people (Larry Sanchaz)
@VPfERbN-5wcq That number is quite specific. Know something we don’t?
8,346 in NA and Western Europe.
GTS / GBS sales rumored every year for the last 5 years. I don't see it happening.
Enough each quarter to bump up earning YTY.
@1ubv - I agree with you. IBM Services (GTS + GBS) will be sold next year. Most likely will be announced in 1Q.
Not RA,more business would be sold.
20K, North America...
Globally??? Who knows? Maybe a net plus...
It is so bloated. Will not be surprised if > 20000 with more than 15000 outside of US
