What is the promo cycle? If I didn’t know there is one, does that reflect on me or my manager?
Nobody want to talk about that...
that only helps if your higher-up hook doesn't get canned for fighting in the hall.
Or marrying/dating a Higher up.
Promotions basically based on socializing.
First there were 5 tiers, then 35 affording “more clarity on promotion” steps, which I never saw put into practice...now 0 tiers. I gave up and am using an external source for career planning. Sadly it will likely lead to having to leave the company for any progression.
Same here, exceeds every year and my reward was a pay decrease having my LTI removed.
Excellent reviews for over 5 years never a hint of something to improve on more and more responsibilities yet not one promotion and only the standard raise the first couple of years, 3 years with no raise, then one little cost of living raise and LTI taken away with a marginal bump to “make up for not LTI” that is only a fraction of the LTI value...what is this promotion cycle you speak of? Was this question only directed at the 30 that got significant raises and promotions last year? Seems every week the pie in the sky bonus possibility dwindles as if it ever were something anyone had any faith in anyway.
What promotion cycle? There isn’t one unless you are an Engineer.
