Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

More before the end of next week wouldn't surprise me

I wouldn't be surprised by more layoffs before the next week is done. If there is a goal to get rid of as many people as possible before the next year starts, next week is the last they can do to fill whatever quota they have while honoring WARN's sixty days requirement.

On a positive note, I think that after next week, we'll be good for at least a few months.

More head-cuts early Nov after the GTM structure is fully announced. So many managers will be sent home, especially the middle management .

I’m not referring to a poster’s initials. I’m referring to when someone posts “JS will step down by the end of the month” when they’re referring to the CEO.

What’s the point of making readers guess who the initials stand for?

No doubt. The whole point of this site is to be an unknown mystery person.

Why do people use initials on this site? What’s the reasoning?

Huge overhaul of content management coming in Tax & Accounting/Knowledge Solutions. Restructuring and layoffs coming. Fully expect to lose great workers while retaining the employees who promote themselves 24/7. The ones who send emails to their teams at midnight (while cc:ing their directors) will be fine.

"good for at least a few months."

Unless you're eyeing the prospect of a huge severance (which maybe they'll honor and maybe the won't) use those few months and get out on your own terms
