My severance was cut off early due to the bankruptcy. Anyone else? Don't have any dreams that you'll get any severance if you're laid off from here on out.

I haven't received a letter yet, but I have a pending deposit for about half of what my severance payment should be. I'm guessing that puts me through the actual day bankruptcy was filed.
Severance is in the same zero fund bucket as any other benefit. You can expect nothing from here on out.
I feel bad for some of my co workers that are basically getting no severance pay. I have warned many that they weren't getting no severance pay as soon as chapter 11 was announced. Lots of my co workers are freaking out looking for jobs, but it might be a little to hard to find something else where. My ASM is still in delusional state because the DM came last week to answer questions and said that she should be getting severance pay, but wasn't sure... Why not be straight out honest here.
Just one last question tell me that my SM will also get no severance pay honestly that would satisfy my day know that he will just get unemployment which will be a huge down grade of what he use to make.
It closed to public the same day they announced bankruptcy. What are the odds right.
Yep. It's true. Got a general mail letter saying severance is being cut. Check your mail and see.
Getting your packet tomorrow. When is your store closing?
Get my packet tomorrow, while others got theirs today. Not real confident that we will get anything. Also concerned about how long to wait and find out.
"Funny. My severance pay is continuing as usual. The only notification from HR today was to sign up for 2019 insurance. Nice try!"
Do you realize how dumb you sound?

Read the papers that you signed. Severance can be cut off anytime BK or not. Severance is not guaranteed or owed to you.
Mine was filed before the bk and was told today by HR that it has been cutoff.
I was laid off last round still had a couple weeks of severance left. Was notified it would not be paid to end date. This was pre bankruptcy.
Ya.... Sure it was.
Troll posting misinformation again. Severances filed before bk are still being paid out. Any severance submissions after bk filing have to be approved by the bk court. Most likely a ch. 7 liquidation by February. If your severance gets cut off you have to file a claim in the bk court as an unsecured creditor. Good luck with that if it happens to any of you.
Yes, severance before the filing has been cutoff. My understanding is that severance for employees laid off after the filing is still currently approved. Though I assume that will shortly be ended as well.
Get another job.
