Safe list, 0. Not safe list, all.
Last time either Sears or Kmart had "safe" stores, was, what...in the 1980s?
Spoke to a Seritage representative in our closing store. He said there are no SAFE stores. He said there are currently stores being submitted to the bankruptcy judge from both the SAFE list and the REVIEW lists to be sold and closed as soon as the bankruptcy judge approves the sales. He didn't say which stores but said it could be as many as 12. I would mention they closed our store with absolutely no warning and we were considered "profitable."
Some stores are healthier than others, but Sears Holdings as a whole is a lost cause. The entire operation is likely to liquidate next month unless ESL is able to pull together the financing to continue operations through the holiday season.
It floors me that after all that has happened, after all the lies and bullsh*t Sears has fed everyone, that there is anybody left who still believes this "safe store" nonsense.

"Safe Stores"??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Dude.....the company declared BANKRUPTCY.
It should be on page 2 here. Just scroll to the bottom and choose the next page.
Agreed with the previous poster. The "safe" notion is a big lie.
It really doesnt matter. There are no safe stores. If SHC cannot secure financing and pull a profit and stop the cash burn in a month it is over. And just to let you know our store was a profitable store, we were told time after time that our store was "safe" and we are closing. No store is safe.
