Just learned yesterday that TR/Refinitiv networks are blocking traffic to "thelayoff.com". I guess they want to control the message by only allowing us to see the "unicorns & rainbows" provided through content on TheHub.

Blocking access to websites on company resources not related to work function is not censorship or a media blackout. Employees are not entitled to use company assets for anything other than doing their jobs. It's like whining that they won't let you use your laptop to work on your resume, check facebook, listen to spotify or access job search boards. It's not like we don't have access to our own laptops and phones to enjoy this wonderful website. They're not locking you in a room with restricted internet.
Sure you can use your phone, but the technical means of access is not really the point. The point is that a media company is essentially practicing censorship/media blackouts
