How old and trite to think that quality customer experience factors into any decision on whom to promote! Sloppy, messy stores only refelcts poorly on the host institution and it demonstrates conptempt for the customer in the store. Who cares!
Cookie cutter website show contempt, too. Only Follet would give a world leading instution the same exact website as a community college and think it's OK.
How did JP ever get promoted from stores? The stores that he managed were always a sloppy mess.

GVP’s need to be cut, don’t need another layer to pass down BS from HO, RM can relay all that during weekly conference calls. What do GVP’s do anyway? Except hardly return emails.
Our regional works his a** off. Totally devoted and committed. Respected but he is also at the mercy of higher ups. Only so much you can do! Regions should be regions NOT complete states

Is it a way to weed out RMs or those who speak up about RMs?
If true, this is a terrible practice. Knowing some of the GVP's....typical for their shady practices. (The rest are more ethical.) Trolling for ways to clear some space and load even more stores on fewer RM's.
The current pyramid of management is overwork and under staff managers. Reduce RM count so they are juggling an insane number of stores and keep cracking the whip. Solid management plan. Open your eyes folks and get the hell out. She's taking on water quickly.
