Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

More info on Argentina

About Argentina, what I heard is that a lot of people working for 'Reuters Support' will be released next year - they support customers in portuguese and spanish. I am not sure about the numbers, probably 10 or 20.... Looks similar to what is happenning in Sydney. Only people from Bangkok has been luck, so far.... Maybe because thai people are very nice, friendly and know muai thay? (I've been there, loved the country!)

Yeah.. I am wondering how DC and BS would keep our mood up until end of quarter Q1!

We speak on daily basis with clients and we are really not motivated now. Please avoid mentioning the ballshits of being professional.. we are all professional and up to now we have been the link between poor products and clients! Customers keeps make jokes when we answer at the phone saying "this is Refinitiv". Many have been complaining that nobody informed them about this new company! And many others are terrified that they could be assisted by people in Manila or Bangalore.. but enjoy it! I have enough with all this! I hope only that in my next job, I won't have to deal with Refinitiv's products!

“We do have poor data, loads of mistakes, contents covered by nobody and so wrong information published.”

Wow that sounds like a “winning” product, where they key is local support in a native language, and not fixing the sh-- product... sheeesh!!!

They are not treating this Team as they deserve , unfair and risky . My Account Team is really worried our Latam Helpdesk has always greatly helped with retention . Helpdesk staff unfortunately will all start resigning , impossible to keep the center operative until April 1st 2019, what incentive they have to remain ? Unbelievable ! If needed to be done this could have been done this differently !! Does human resouces understand the importance of staff who are infront of clients on a daily basis and more important during this transition period? Not at all, they are blind

All the customers will feel the difference without language support.. they will pass to BBG and I would pass as well. We do have poor data, loads of mistakes, contents covered by nobody and so wrong information published.. Support was the reason why many clients stay with us. We were the answer company.. now BS&Co decided we can simply say to the clients fxxkoff

Complementing the post, taken from the refinit layoff forum:

The customer support center based in Buenos Aires will be terminated in April 2019. This center of around 30 people received all Latam call in English Spanish and Portuguesse. Customers in Latam will feel the difference in the support for sure.
