Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

A list of signs that you are working in a healthy environment

Sure signs that you work in a healthy environment free from toxic politics.

1) Leadership is open, fair, authentic, honest, friendly and supportive.

2) Failures and mistakes are treated as lessons. Finger-pointing is frowned upon.

3) Employees are trusted and empowered.

4) People are promoted and rewarded on the basis of their accomplishments, not political favors.

5) Leadership takes real risks for employees, stands up for them, gets them what they need, is there for them when they run into problems.

6) Best ideas win.

7) Employees come first.

And not!!!!

When things goes well, I use “I”.

When I do not know or how things goes, I use “We”.

When things go bad, I use “You” and “They”.

I will only give you credit for your project, if your project fails.

This is a post that I found on the Seagate board here, on another thread ( @VFZUHZE-2fxf ) . An interesting distinction between a healthy business environment an the way that things are done at Seagate.

if you don't wanna do the work, move on or pass over the task. No one will thanks nor appreciate. everyone complaining in down deep. and who don't wanna be on the top of the food chain , right?

here is how things stack up

  • shareholders

  • exec mgmt

  • customers

  • vendors

  • employees

  • general public (people, city, country, planet)

Anyhow, pretty much all public business are organized in this way
