Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Leaving my friends is the saddest part of leaving the company

I was made redundant last week, and in a way I felt relieved. It did not hit me, until this week, so many people have reached out, people who I hired and mentored, people I worked with in several global offices, and all of them said "How much they enjoyed working with me", and "it will be a huge loss for the company". So suddenly it has hit me and I now feel sad what I will miss the most, all the friends I made at work. And now I know why I did not proactively look for a job outside.

This is what txt messaging and whatsapp are for. You might also consider meeting up with them once in a while (sarc)

100% with you on this. The colleagues are what kept me here and I'll miss them a LOT.

Take your time to grieve and process this change. For many of us long timers, it's a significant upheaval. We'll come through stronger in the other side.

Also remember that if you're in the UK, US and other major sites, you're eligible for the employee assistance program if you need support (check it out on the hub or ask your manager or hr).

Play player unknown's battlegrounds, that is much better than working in TR , in case if you have redundant income
