Any more layoffs

Has anyone heard anything else for the rest of the year?

Get out. NOW. There are many companies that can use your skills - companies that actually care about their employees and don't have executives/VP's that don't know what they are doing.

You will be glad you left, and you won't be so depressed. Having a job with a future at any other company will make you feel great to go into work every day, not being depressed at the latest lies that the executive team tries recycling every few months at WE.

Even WE's ex-CEO Jeff Gardner - who 'left' at a good time - is doing much better than when he was CEO - https://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/people/person.asp?personId=249444&privcapId=45987976

Update your resume - take control of your future. Refuse to be walking mat for the clueless executive teams.

The bosses would rather have their asses kissed and keep the good workers where they are and promote those that dont do sh-- other than kiss mgmnts a--hole

That is the Windstream way. People get promoted all the time who don’t deserve the position. Most of the time, they do any thing it takes while the hard workers are thrown away like garbage. I am sure you are a great worker while the one you speak of is probably a lazy worker who spends their days doing the bare minimum; tattling on their colleagues, and kissing the boss’ butt.

It happens. It is enough to make you so mad. People write about it on here all the time. I think the upper management needs to read these complaints about the wrong people getting promoted.

Watching a manipulator for years. Talking behind peoples back and people know he does this. Yet he gets promoted. Alot of good people got laid off and this guy gets promoted. Rant over.

With as many good people leaving, maybe that will save jobs for ones who are still there. I can tell you there are better companies out there. If anyone thinks that windsteam is going to be ok, you haven't been in the industry very long

Its nice to be out. The money at windsteam is not good, despite what people may say. They benefits are terrible

I wasn't waiting to be laid off. I left on my own terms

I started with bellsouth in 2001, very different then, I also worked with Windtream and just recently left, the technology is only gonna get better. Wireless is the future I hate to say but it is gonna kill landline eventually. I was Laid off by bellsouth and went back to AT&T and was laid off again then went to Windstream and hated the way the company is, so I left because I know it will be gone . Sad but true

This is the way of todays corporate world, not just Windstream. It’s a competitive, cutthroat business and you need to adapt or die. Anything that can be outsourced or automated will be, and all that matters is the bottom line. This happens at EVERY COMPANY. Even those who have good stock prices. Cutting costs is one of the only ways to stay ahead when revenue is hard to come by. I left last year on my own to be the general manager of construction company, but still pay attention to the goings on here. Looks like a lot of fear and and bitterness.

The CEO and his VP's seriously need to be laid off - outsource them to some smart people who know what they are doing....

I would think with some of repair getting outsourced there would be some layoffs after that. When is anyone’s guess though
