"Don't worry, none of the stores will be open Thanksgiving. LOL"

BINGO. Unfortunately, this will fall on deaf ears just like all the other "fake news" on this site that turned out to be true. Most people here/still at Sears apparently don't possess enough critical thinking skills to realize what's really going on.

Ironically retail has Kmart to thank for leading the way in opening on thanksgiving, and how’d that work out for them in the end?!

In Maine and Massachussetts, they are required by law to close on Thanksgiving. Black Friday starts at 12:01 AM Friday here.

Once the electronics dept assortment was slashed to almost nothing, our store never again met its Black Friday numbers.

We used to get a couple truckloads of TV's and they sold like gangbusters on Black Friday.

Electronics used to pull in 20-25% of the store's business that day in our store when it was fully assorted with TV's and digital cameras.

They should have been closed every year for thanksgiving but knows this company, they will open thanksgiving and have select stores doing another 42 hour marathon.
