US immigration hit with H-1B lawsuit

Updated 5 hours ago

A lawsuit filed last week against the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) claims that the agency is arbitrarily deciding the length of temporary worker visas, sometimes issuing visas that have already expired. Dallas-based ITServe Alliance, a trade association, JP Morgan Chase & co, and Citi-Group are suing the agency, arguing that companies have been thrown into turmoil over the Trump-era policies. Prior to the Trump administration, H-1B visas were handed out for three-year durations. The president has expressed a desire to end the H-1B program in favor of a skills-based immigration system. A recent report found that the denial rate for the visa category has spiked.

End the diversity Greencard and introduce skills-based immigration. That will end this debate.
