The significant duplication in engineering/validation ranks is at the site's in india. So Murthy would have to lay-off himself, his crony's and friends to save face.

Announcement of Murthy as next CEO will be delayed until mid-November. 12k cuts being announced either at earnings or next week. Most hit will be TMG, IOTG, and ADG. Lots of duplication in engineering/validation ranks that need to be streamlined
Fake news, MR will not be announced a CEO. MR is leaving, since that's a condition for his remaining payment from sign-on bonus. I belive the release will state something about gross imcompentence and abusive use of company assets... (i,e the Intel private jets).
Horrible decision if it is true. But what do you expect from a BOD who selected and supported BK, a weak, dishonest person, a person who kept a secret affair with a subordinate for 10 years. I cannot bring myself to call him a leader. I feel very sorry for this great company. Like other great companies, it is ruined by its disfunctional board, weak management, hiring and performance management that promotes cronyism. Full of charlatans and talkers. Carpool karaoke from CSO. Should we laugh or cry? We are all waiting for a white knight to come and save us but it is all downhill from here.

I find this very lame on the BODs part if it’s true. If it’s true they should have done it 4 months ago. MR has been sitting here the entire time. Why wait 4 months?
Good luck to Intel, MR is a good program execution manager but not a visionary. He can ruin entire intel business model and culture within no time...

Disaster. With the 5G delays and lies being put out by CC & MA to hide MRs failures. The incompetent hires of MR dredged in will wreck Intel in 18 months. Large scale attritions will happen if MR is announced as the CEO. Gobble gobble has delivered NOTHING till now. The famous execution speech touting Glenview & 1st 5g are proofs of Fat (pardon the pun) failure. MR shd be demoted as ICDG head & made to deliver or be sacked
