Need to finish the quarter strong and send a message to the banks and investors. Selling some business units, closing others, laying off some people. If your shop is slow or not making money then it’s likely Houston has its sights on you.

An oft-used phrase on here is “get out while you still can”. It’s used by folks that have been laid off from WFT. What does that mean? It implies that at some point, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to leave. Why is this? Will there come a point in the not-too-distant future when WFT shackles the remaining employees and forces them into hard labor with no possibility of escape? Would it not make more sense to “ride this horse until it can’t run any more”?
You all are working for the worst company in the business, get out while you can. Or maybe you can spend the next few years hoping it will get better. Believe me it will not, I held out hope just like you guys and still got axed when our facility closed. That was 2 years ago and I have been much happier since leaving. My life is no longer on hold, worry about a layoff.
They need to get rid of all support staff. Would be better off for them to support tables at restaurants. More money for real employees. Fixed
Sounds like a kid who thinks they know it all yet knows nothing! lmao
@VEWrYes-1lof sounds like you are one of the old managers, with thin skin to boot! Management overall at WFT is not good. The good days of the past you refer to are the days that built up that 8B in debt that they now have, they just knew how to hide it. So I guess if being corrupt is a qualification than yep, the old managers were better.
And who's old back ran the show when things were good and fought for you? It wasn't the young punk kids! In the last 4 years haven't seen the punks do much! Most punks that are managers do nothing but get big pay cheques and bonus for doing nothing!
My manager went to see his doctor because he was feel a lot of pain in his colon. His doctor referred him to a proctologist. He just got the results back. Turns out it was his head creating the agrivation.
weatherford needs to get rid of some mid level management who were appointed by there current friends and families members make stability for themselves rather actually doing what company is asking them to do it. I remember once i was told that company wants to change culture from old mindset to keep up with new thought process. It is not going to happen until these people are in these positions who are not going to make it happen. They all say yes when big hunchos are around, but as they leave the door, it gets back to old ways. In the way people who actually want to make thinks happen gets shown exit door. because these people are scared of there jobs. they know very well if they were let go. they will not make same money and get position at thw same time.
