My vote goes to SM.

2vtg - you are 1000% correct in your assessment. QCT had been in decay since Sanjay left, Making SM CEO was the kiss of death. As far as JT goes, he acts like an honest mid Western boy but in reality he is a snake with poor judgement. Very tough times will continue for Q.
Easy answer is mollenhead. He had no qualification for ceo as demonstrated since his 1st day. PJ had to hand the title to someone, for personal reasons (a wife and mistress).
I recall the all hands when mollenhead spoke of his ceo coach, and stated unlike Sanjay, he would not have his tentacles in everything. Wow, he wasn't kidding and has never known what was going on with projects. Irwin, Don Shrock, Sanjay all knew what was happening and ran the company to success. That was then.
I think PJ saw the writing on the wall, and wanted to get out with his family name legacy mostly intact. That being said SM took a dismal outlook and made it even worse. And the board keeps throwing money at him for juicing the share price. Infuriating situation.
PJ handoff to SM was the beginning of the end.
SM. Worst. CEO. Ever.
SM and his tribe can only bring pain for qcom.
I dunno, PJ wasn't a prize either. He was riding the momentum from his dad. JT's thinking is too narrow. Agree that this is now a financial company and not an innovation company.
Without a doubt. And JT makes terrible engineering decissions. And GD is the guy really running the company. The three stooges. Q went from an engineering company to one driven by financial games.
