Worse than I think half the Company realized, Plano, Islandia and Irvine. That's it!

Deltek has already signed a lease to take over the space.
I’ve heard the same as the previous poster. Can anyone confirm?
Can confirm the original posters comment, Federal office in Herndon is 100% being shut down. Have also been told that the Federal team will consist of less than 20 people in the coming months.
@VDVi2Py-1lhn it doesn't make sense to keep islandia open for a small amount of engineers and support people. I work in Islandia, do you have any idea how much unused space we already have here? Any idea what we pay for this building? (Hint: I do.) I'm in a back office role so I have no illusions, i'll be gone soon, and there just aren't enough roles in support and r&d/eng to justify the huge space.
Best case scenario is some of you get to stay until the lease is up. After that (and maybe sooner) Islandia is done.
Depends on your notice period. You can be 100% sure to know if you will keep your current job somewhere in November. So if you have 1 month notice period, tell your new employer that you can ultimately start on January 2nd, but you might be available sooner if they are flexible.
As soon as you know your faith, let's say mid November worst case, you hopefully walk out with your severance package and 6 weeks of holidays to spend that money on (unless you then offer your new employer to start earlier), OR you then resign yourself and start at your new employer on Jan 2nd.
Happy days, you're in the best position ever. Well done!
@VDVi2Py-1hda-No stress or anxiety but will not leave 16 years of severance on the table, absolutely not. You'd be mental to do that. Just trying to figure out what an accurate date is. Should I expect and email tomorrow, Tuesday, Wednesday, November 5th like the ELT said internally ? Just wondering if anyone has some inside news or perspective, a lot of different dates being thrown around.
@VDVi2Py-1hda What's stopping you from switching jobs right now? Severance? If so, is it even worth the stress and anxiety of staying at CA?
Do what I did a week ago: put in your resignation the next day and move on.
Can anyone on this forum tell me when I might know something? "EU Approved" so its a done deal, I am good to go with job offers but have no idea when I will get and email from BRCM one way or the other. CA ELT has gone radio silent and my manager doesn't even know anything. I just need to let my future employer know when I'm available. Any guidance here would be much appreciated.
@VDVi2Py-1xez It's very likely that Islandia won't be impacted as much as people think. There is a large group of experienced employees there across all departments, and if Broadcom would lay them off then they will be doing themselves a great disservice. Sure, backoffice roles will probably be cut, but I'm expecting that engineering and other technical positions will be in good shape. Otherwise, there will be no one left to support those products.
Look at mr wishful thinking over here
Islandia will survive I believe.
People have already been told "verbally" what their position will be moving forward.
I can confirm that no letters have been sent. This is a troll.
Stop trolling, you're not even remotely convincing. #admin please delete this nonsense.
Offer letters weren’t sent to anyone. This is just a BS post.
When were the offer letters sent ?
