Dude I had 12y with the company and started over. I come back to this board every year or so just to reminisce. In 5y I have out-earned my 12y at qualcomm (even inflation-adjusterd). It was so TOTALLY worth it.

But many companies in san diego can't find engineers and are hiring so what's the real problem???? Qualcomm lost it's luster, just wait for the next layoff, will happen soon. Tell your VP you are a volunteer. Then get a new job in san diego or elsewhere.

You won't miss, high gas prices, high housing costs, high car insurance, high property tax, choking traffic, out of control politicians that endlessly seek to tax the hell out of us, release criminals from prison early, ban everything including straws and attract homeless to the point p--p patrols are needed for city streets.
