Thread regarding Sears layoffs

My boss says everything is fine the media and fake news is overblown.

Sears is turning things around with smaller stores and taking care of its customers. Customer/members know that Sears will do whatever to make them happy. They stand behind their appliances and products. Stop listening to the nay sayers. Keep working your butt of to get thru these tough times. Its just a bump in the road. If your store is liquidating, dont worry there should be another Sears within a hundred miles or so, you can compete for one of those jobs.

I manage an Auto Center. According to my DM everything is on the up and up. Managers never know anything as we aren't "in the know", so cant really be too mad if you're manager is sticking to the script. We all know the end is here but have to tow the company line until the other shoe drops. No manager in their right mind is going to say "yep we're screwed".

Eddie is only in it for himself. This company never has listened to anyone in the field. They continue to beat everyone down push them blame on to others. GET OUT, TAKE EVERY PERSONAL ITEM YOU HAVE TODAY! Still come to work and collect a pay check while you can, but if your not sharping up your resume, your the fool!!!!

Yeah, that 49 cents a share on NASDAQ at the end of this day is "fake news".

Even the biggest Kool-Aid drinker in the company knows the gig is up by now.

My boss told me the other day that my performance recently warrants a PIP. I asked him how he expects me to fix my metrics if the whole company is f---ed? Jokes on him, we're both of jobs soon. Eat a d--k.

Wait till all those Regional, District and store managers are all out after the few positions in their rank that might be available.. think they are all going to have a rude awakening

I don’t feel pitty for any of them!!!!

I do however have empathy for all the regular workers but I think our chance of getting another job is much better than theirs

KARMA✌️

I had a store manager that insisted that the boarded up stores in our attached mall were evidence of a huge remodel.

We all knew he was full of $hit, but let him carry on his charade until his dwindling store sales got him walked out the door

Yes, and I'm sure if your boss peed on your head and told you it was raining you would believe them, right?

I'll bet competition will be fierce for those coveted Sears jobs. Driving a 200 mile round trip (or perhaps more), for minimum wage and no benefits, seems like a winner to me. What an id--t your boss must be.

You're boss will be in for the shock of his life when chapter 11 or 7 is declared and he's out of a job. Seriously deep down, he knows the end is near
