Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM challenges Pentagon’s $10 billion cloud computing effort days before bids are due

So since IBM knows they had no chance of winning the bid they resorted to formally whining about the terms of the proposal in the desperate hopes that the DoD relents and changes the terms of the proposal from a winner-take-all to allowing for multiple vendors to win different portions of the contract? How desperate and sad IBM has become.

And so when IBM doesn't win this contract then how many RA's will follow?

IBM would hose that up in no time at all and they have no business even bidding with the way they run the company. They lie upfront and then fail on delivery in the end.

Too many managers and not enough people doing the actual work at IBM.

You will eventually lose everything with that business model in place.

But we could have another town hall to pretend we are great.

I’m really upset that we challenged the principles behind such a large government bid. The last thing you want to do is argue with someone who could be awarding you the largest bid in history. It’s high time that we get off this “hybrid” high horse. Only Cloud laggards preach hybrid.

Government contracts are awarded to "approved" vendors, such as CSRA. Now that would be as much of a screw-up as IBM would do, so no change here. There will be redundancies of course. Second, IBM sales of old might have a chance. Under Ginny??? Fat chance.
