Reading this thread and childish arguing , I can understand why TR had issues if this is the calibre of some employees , current and past.

Small offices in EMEA is at risk? Can you give countries example?

There is a general recommendation that places with <10 people should work from home. This recommendation has been here for a few months. Obviously there are exceptions, or people get moved to Shared Offices (REGUS, etc). I don't think this news has anything to do with this exercise.

Really? I don't want to panic anyone and that is why I am saying I heard only rumours regarding small offices that have till 15 employees in EMEA might be closed. This is what you heard too?

Yes. If you know the employment laws in one region add a week to the process you start that region a week early so you can tell everybody at once.

Try to keep up at the back, it's not really complicated.

In that case they'd have had to have started France before they became Refinitiv.....grow a brain, you must be on the 'safe' list...........

"No justification at all, other than different employment laws I guess?"

No, it's not from the Union. We are in a location in Asia and the Jive update was news from the Hub (Not Union Hub). My colleague received the Wednesday update, but I did not.

If your not in the union , you will not get union updates.

It’s always worked like that.

Find the union (unite) hub page. That normally has updates on it.

"Did all of you receive the Jive email updates on Wednesday about UK starting consultation on layoff?

My colleague received it, but I did not. Wonder if they sent the email to selected people?"

I guess it depends if you're a union member or not...........

The 280 figure comes from the Unite reps. Poor comms from the company when all the news is coming from the union.

Where does the 280 roles figure originate from? (not saying it's not true)

In the UK , the redundancy notifications will take place week commencing Monday 15 October. Proposals have the potential to impact around 280 roles (11%) of staff, but if you include the 300 odd staff in Wrexham site which is proposed to closed be then 20% for UK overall.
