Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Did DXC finally stop the free fall?

I usually take these market predictions with a lot of caution. but the fact that the stock is rising already and it’s predicted it will grow steadily gives me a lot of proof that we’ve reached at least some sort of financial sustainability. Maybe the need for massive WFRs will finally stop, at least in the US based offices.

The freefall will stop when Mikey is given the boot out the door.

WFRs continue with even highly profitable and stable accounts bleeding talent....

Ha ha. Even if that were true, it demonstrates how little you know about the man. He can look you straight in the eye whilst stabbing you in the back! Over the years Lawrie's assurances have been proved to be worthless!

No OD&T is staying put. Don’t know where you all get this c-ap news but it’s getting silly with the posts. I have it from ML that they are here to stay

Mark Collins Delivery - Very high skilled resources ! Where are these unicorns ?? Have not met them yet.

Then you never met anyone from the Storage Offering Delivery & Transformation (SODT) StaaS/ BUaaS teams. There are still a few Very high skilled resources that haven't been let go yet.

Market experts is an oxymoron. DXC is full of them too.

It's not just Delivery where the WFR lists are being prepared, it's Build too This part of DXC contains CTOs, Solution Architects, Product Design Specialists, Market experts etc.

Short answer, no. There are lists, and more heads will roll. Next round in the US is still this month.

Delivery - Very high skilled resources

It is only the cuts that are driving the increase in the share price. Everyone knows that Lawrie is incapable of growing a business, he can only keep slashing jobs. The market and the investors like the cuts. They will probably only realise that the patient has bled to death when it's too late!

Well if you do NOT have a good account with good profit margin in a high cost location (read United Shush of Americas) then it is normal Wall street logic to reduce headcounts - DXC is doing exactly this and hiring new grads (apparently best place to work for new grads in US - a new poll suggests ). So please do help the company to thrive. I you have quit working - please do quit the company.

Not too sure the projections for an increasing stock price will reduce the need for WFRs.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4205272-6-reasons-still-optimistic-dxc-technology-shares

From the article....

"Off-shoring labor in their traditional business still has significant room to run as well."

"The lion's share of operational leverage in the future will come from automation. They've already seen this in their call centers, and it's moving to IT operations, with promising first results."

"There are still a host of synergies and other cost-cutting and productivity-enhancing measures on the table, so margins are likely to continue to increase."

Out of context to the whole article I admit. But read the article and you will see that along with a reliance on cloud partners, cost-cutting, off-shoring and automation, WFRs are still on the table.
