Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Business as usual

No raises this year for non-executives? Can't 'blame' the company's latest struggles, instead it is because a lot of your raise money went to TT and his cronies raises, and also for donating $10,000 for a business renovation. http://bolivarmonews.com/news/windstream-donates-to-sbu-s-taylor-enterprise-center-renovation/article_e6e0f988-b214-11e8-9f66-7fde53e655e1.html

Must be a lot of money floating around for things like this, just it isn't marked for employee raises.

Good job TT - taking care of other companies when you should be taking care of your own employees first. No wonder employee morale is at an all-time low. What goes around comes around - remember that, TT.

I have not been promoted, and the bad thing is I have trained future supervisors, and answer questions for them. I have no idea why, and when I ask there is no answer. I do my job. I do not gossip, and I am a great employee. I get great evaluations, and great feedback. I have backed down these last few years, and have done the bare minimum possible. I don’t volunteer for projects like I used to, and I don’t train like I used to. When they ask, I say I have too much to do. If the supervisors or reps IM me, I do not respond.

I am not a hostile worker, but I will refuse to train people who will become supervisors for a position that I am more than qualified just because they are friends with the director.

This company degrades its workers because of this.

I was one of the few that did get ahead. HR changed my role from salaried to hourly. Because of this my pay went up and I can now make OT when needed. I am not sure what the thought processes was other than to align job titles between 2 or 3 companies.

Lower managers are the biggest id--ts. They think that if they drink the koolaid and puke it back to you in their huddles that they are safe.

What a bunch of dipsh1ts!

It seems like I read a post in the past stating TT has a contract with WS and if we break the contract, he gets paid a large amount of money and if he stays he gets paid a large sum of money. I think it posted under something that had Kool-Aid in the title of the post, but shortly after reading that post about TT and contract, the post disappeared off this site. If that is true, TT gets big bucks either way along with all the extra perks. I've often thought if we had really good leadership, when they received their bonuses and raises, they would man up, quit patting themselves on their backs, and say they don't want it because the worker bees do the work and build the company, not them. So far they have taken the money and laughed all the way to the bank. The trolls will probably pull this post, but it made me feel semi good in writing it.

After he outsources the whole company then TT will have even more money to give himself a bonus. That way he can pat himself on the back for a great job on saving the company money. So we pay outsourced people to do a job and then those of us in the states get the great job of cleaning up the mess they make which means you are paying 2 people to do a job when you could have left the work here in the states and had it done right the first time. I am sure this makes way too much sense for some people after all its only about saving the company money (on paper anyway) but this is all day every day in my dept and we are tired of the sh--. But dont you dare say anything to management because they are job scared and will tell u if you dont like it leave. Its kind of like TT saying this is not a prison. Maybe some people need their jobs you arrogant a--holes.
