Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC Managers: Too many of them

Too many managers in the company. They are need to be fired first along with HR team which selects incompetitive members for money. This company is a goner long ago when all the managers who have no idea where selected based on ask licking and who bought the company to this state.

Company is the worse for managers and Yes HR Dept Staff should be fired, Employees are allowed to place Clients on hold while they sleep at their desk, place Clients on hold while the Employees go to Cafe for Food or stand around and chat with each out about unrelated work issues. Managers and Supervisor have their "Pet" employees that is allowed to used the company time to sell food for personal profit , listen to music in Managers office, and on Facebook, watch movies while calls and work go unanswered and not done. Management refuse to pay Employees for time worked (Labor Relation violation). Upper Management and HR Dept knows but don't care they just want a body count; Managers are aware but look the other way when certain employees give Clients false information, leave them on hold for long period of time and the absenteeism is the worse, only a few employees care about doing a good job and if you complain about working conditions you become a target for excessive call monitoring, increased incoming calls required to answer and harrassment.

A number of vacancies in the Security teams in APAC have remained unfilled for the last 2 years as applicants don't want to work for a company that pays 20% below the market value. Consequently experienced and knowledgeable applicants follow the money trail away from DXC which only wants to employ cheap graduates that can pass a MCSE exam and cannot apply their knowledge to the job.

If anything is wrong with managers then its the stupid "spans and layers" thing introduced by McKinsey.

That might have reduced the amount of managers across the business but its actually made an artificial structure that is flawed to the hilt.

I am not a manager by the way, I am a (CSC) grunt who has seen his management go from focused and useful to utterly useless, powerless and drowning.

What some of you may not realize, is that some Managers have been working their asses off behind the scenes for years now to keep things together. You may not talk to them much and it may not seem like they are good for anything but trust me, they are working hard. Yes there are WFR's and sometimes they are completely out of the managers control. But for some, their only mission is to keep their people employed. Not only because they need to service a customer but because they really do care about their people and their families. Those managers are out there and are still with DXC. ;)

Job vacancies ? those are just fake ... no job vacancies other than for low paid headcounts just to fill in headcount numbers to the client to bill them. managers can do nothing other than shake their head in agreement else they ought to be fired immediately.

Just look at all of the job vacancies that DXC cannot fill because their reputation as a good employer has been flushed down the toilet. The only way to avert this crisis is for ML and his cronies to resign or be sacked immediately.

If management considers people from +45 as not capable to deliver in a digital company - they should start firing themselves first. They are stuck in the dark ages anyway and have passed their date a long time ago.

You can't change that environment pal. Only bankruptcy or failure can. It's a slow process but it will eventually take them down. Imagine all the lieutenant and sergeants that cling to each manager. It's a pathetic example of leadership by a-- kissing.
