It was mentioned by Patel that Centurylink was losing lower revenue lines but was gaining higher revenue lines in the form of higher speed data lines such as the (1gig). It was said that this was a good thing. The numbers he gave, show gains in high speed and losses in others. It was also mentioned about focusing on cloud services .
It appears that Centurylink is gaining higher speed customers but, losing dial tone, lower speeds and prism customer faster than they are gainer newer customers.
Is this a problem? Yes.. lower customer count = Lower renewable revenue = a lot less employees needed.
Am I concerned? very much so... I think all the employees need to be. Less consumer product ordered-- Less revenue--less work for the techs --It means ( listen carefully) less techs needed...(which means less supervisors needed also). More cloud services--means--less carrier, network and I/R techs and less supervisors.
Centurylink is positioning themselves in a new way, into a new environment for the future. Its just a matter of time, of how it all falls into place.. Its a new day coming..- Wake up
Stop the bickering and see the bigger picture. Should we be concerned as employees (both techs and Supervisors)... ahhhh .. Yes.. I think so...
How many of us will still have a place in this newly forming environment. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the employees who manage to survive the coming changes and evolve with Centurylink in the future.
