Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Why layoffs?

For a change, our shares are going up. We outperformed the S&P 500 in the last month, since the last earnings report.

So why do we suddenly need to get rid of so many people when things are going so well for us? What's the point?

Except maybe having more money for bonuses for those on top?

More layoffs = more bonus money for the high performing ML.

Layoffs are business as usual for DXC.

The ones at the top reap bonus for sacking the pheasants and then blame the workers for not performing. Wall Street does not give a toss about the pheasants and hard-working employees at DXC.

Layoffs are a classic way of cutting costs and ignoring the consequences. 3 DXC employees (read here - unqualified graduates) replaced me when I was WFR'd late in 2017.

Its only going well for Wall Street because of the axing, not despite.

They absolutely love to see peasants getting thrown in the gutter, it makes them hard.
