Are the planned cuts just for IT? Everybody else is safe?

You mean you can't fire experienced PMs replace them with graduates with degrees in media studies and get the same level of productivity?
The irony is that all the good PMs are gone and the useless ones remain (very apparent in UK&I at least).
The irony is that we actually don't have enough PMs to run our engagements. The worker bees can't function effectively and projects cannot run profitably without them!
Non technical staff were given the boot some months ago. In a car garage, the mechanic is the one who will finally fix the car, the cashiers cannot replace the mechanic. In DXC, there are too many cashiers, aka project managers, project script writers, project coordinators, project assistants, service delivery managers, Production Environment Managers (PEM) ... all non-technical staff ..
Remember, without the mechanic, the cashier i of no use.
Hopefully the majority of DXC staff are IT?
If you're in DXC, you're not safe...ever.
