The cheese has moved

A quote from our amazing CEO and his monkey subordinates on this morning's Americas call. What the hell does that even mean?

Cheese has not moved in this case. It was stolen by you know who and only given to the top x people. Rest of us just need to go get more cheese for our esteemed leadership and shut up/leave/wait for WFR.

Folks, seriously. There is lots of cheese out there, and the cheese at the other places hasn't been p-ss-d on. I've got my 9 month chip of being DXC free and I still can't believe there are business out here to work for that aren't complete a--holes, and they pay a lot more. I'm still working through the mental trauma and have to remember not to bring DXC mentality with me.

The book allows people doing ugly things to people's lifes to lay the blame on the people being fired. If they were only more flexible about their cheese.

On the flip side it does push a person to leave company loyalty behind and focus on their cheese. A much better idea.

@UygxWVX-1txe - You nailed it.

He complemented on what we deliver today in terms of max complexity etc, then p-ss-d all over the folks he needs to do that.

Mikey was all fired up, but he didn't know his audience. All that c-ap about New Orleans and hiring Graduates didn't help 99% of the work force that were on the call. Just told us were going to lose our jobs and be replaced by cheap labor

Unfortunately the cheese has not moved... It's still sat at the top, old and past its sell by date, stinking up the place and leading (I use the term very loosely) DXC into obscurity*

*Financial engineering (profit for the few) at its most transparent. The funny money will leave DXC very quickly when the signal comes. It (DXC) will be sold off for very little at some future point.

Reference to an outdated 20+ year old book published in the late 90's.

What it means is that when Mikey went to eat his cheese and crackers, he couldn't find the cheese. He was too polite to say it had been stolen, so he said the cheese has moved. Maybe he is giving a VP position as the reward to anyone who can find his cheese.

I believe it was a stilton, it has quite a strong odor, so it should be readily located. If you find his cheese, please send to his office, normal mail will do, as it will give the cheese time to melt a bit and for the odor to become even more enticing.

Top executive cheese should be moved first.

So, you were able to access the meeting? I only got a black square, with a white square inside it with a hyperlink that led to a page that didn't exist. Wasn't that interested anyway.

This reference comes from a book of the same name, written by Spencer Johnson. It is an extended allegory based on the experiences of four mice who live in a maze that has cheese located at a particular location. Then one day, the cheese is moved to a new location, and their differing reactions determine their success in the new state of affairs. It teaches lessons on how we people can best deal with the inevitable changes in our surrounding world.
