What is going on at Intel Germany?

Hey all,

I was thinking about applying for a position at Intel Germany. However, I did notice that there are very few open positions at the moment. Is there something going on that would be of an interest to prospective employees?

Best regards

why are there any employees in Europe besides sales? Europe is one vast playground where no one works, 30 hr work week max (weekend pretty much starts thursday afternoon) with high salaries. only a mo--n would have bought infineon employees.

LAYOFF everyone in Europe for starters

German Intel sites have been on the chipping block for a long time. A few years ago, a slide was leaked that showed full-fledged plans for various site closures (in the end, only Dresden happened). Germany is just not as cheap as India or as close to top management as the US.

As far as iCDG is concerned, it is an open secret that 2G/3G/4G platforms are considered a dead end by Intel, and development there will stop. That will heavily affect the German sites.
