A quick question on health insurance.
Are we still covered for at least a few months after a layoff or do we automatically lose our health insurance?

You have insurance until the end of the month that you are let go. After that your only real option is to go to Obamacare which s---s more than Windstream plans if you can believe that.
Cobra may only allow you to continue what you have - if you have a Cadillac policy now and think you might get let go- switch to the bare bones plan next open enrollment - it’s an easier plan pay for on limited budget
You probably have insurance until the end of the month in which you are terminated but will have to go to the marketplace or take cobra to continue what you have at a much higher price.
