Do you really get, 250 dollarsa week unemployment pay in the US? That's about £190 in the UK 🇬🇧 we would only get about £60
Need to contact HR at the facility & request to get your personal things from the shop or department area.
NOV has rules upon being terminated to return on your status. Or request for your items to be release. If you have any NOV property on hand “tools, uniforms, etc. Must be returned.
I did put in 2 weeks notice, & they let me go before the 2 weeks was up.
After reading many of the web sites under comments, I realized I made the right choice to leave. Not a good company to work for. Got a call at 8pm at night stating that was my last day. I'm not allowed to go to the lobby to pick up my things. I don't think that is the right way to treat people.
Put in your two weeks notice. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. I have seen people leave and come back so with a two weeks you are still eligible to be hired back in the future. I believe no matter how bad it is never burn your bridges! And remember the oilfield is a pretty small world you never know who you will work with/for down the road.
Never quit. Let them fire you or lay you off. You get unemployment then and 6 months of paid time off. But if you live in a state where weekly unemployment is a joke ( ie. $250 a week or whatever), then just QUIT and move on with your life.
It depends. Are you management or a peon?
If you are white, or old just quit.
No one cares and the new america hates you so suing wont do any good.
