Must be awful living in a place where the government at least somewhat cares about its citizens. Can’t be having any of that in Hee Haw Land else it might cut into corporate profits.
The trouble is that the EU government actually supports employees. If someone in France is laid off, they have to be given 6 months notice and benefits even after being let go. It is cheaper to send them here and dump US employees. After years here with “hardship” pay, they go back.

International operations were slowing down but things were picking up in the states. Now, transferring in people that should have been let go instead of keeping locals is wrong. They cut things to the bone in US land as usual. So, operations has shifted away from mainly American guys to the natural footprint this company has internationally. And so did the nepotism. It's also in the interest of the company to hide their so called hi-po or hi-value employees in Houston and what not while their original offices are being shredded. But these people are easily fired and controlled as they are under blanket petition visas. Modern disposable workforce in exchange for local people with rights and benefits. Anybody defending this type of ethics is just ignorant not to see the reality behind it. They come to the states because they admire the safety and standard of living yet spit on it when it's not momentarily playing in their favor. Terrible culture!
