Sometimes I wonder if it is employees of “that company” posting here just to stir the pot as much as they can.....

The top man isn’t going anywhere. I’m sure his contract is written to have a huge buyout.

'In fact, the reason it is up today most likely is due to the anticipation of the judges decision on the witch hunt trial and people wanting to get in before the shares go up and up!'

It might go up in the euphoria after the trial is complete, but once again the real world will settle in and the stock will sink again - because the same management that has been in place the last few years is still there - and they have proven time and time again that they have no clue how to make a profit. Start from the top - CEO - and clean house, then the stock will go and stay up when Wall Street sees that not only is there a new direction, but new leadership.

I’m tickled at the fact the stock is the match they give you in your 401k. And it ain’t worth a damn. I mean who doesn’t want to work till the ripe old age of 75?

And by back to a buck you really mean twenty cents a share due to the five to one traverse split. Even now we are at a little over 70 cents based on that, what is there to cheer about? Things are horrible

"Hi newinvestor, get run out of the yahoo finance board?"

I thought the same thing!

I love people starting the day off with....it'll be +4.50 by days end, while starting at around 3.45 and it closes at 3.30 for the day. I'm glad I don't have their "inside" knowledge.

I try to be more realistic. Like when TT is complaining about the upcoming FCC change that could result in other telco's charging another 15% to buy circuits from them for our CLEC customers. The CLEC side of WS is only operating at just above a 15% margin each quarter. So if it passes, within less than 18 months or so, CLEC will have to raise their prices and lose massive amounts of customers along the way. Or how I hear others saying that WS is pushing CLEC services to ILEC customers, and the ILEC customers are going elsewhere now for CPE solutions, some being $60k a year accounts.

For this to be a growth company, we sure don't seem to be growing. Maybe someone is under the impression that growth=employees to customers......the less employees to cust ratio, the more it looks like WS grew. Just saying.....

Meh, stock will go up because it looks like we will win the suit, then if we do will go up again, then 24 hours later it will wear off and the next thing will be earnings, stock will go down expecting earnings to be bad, then if earning really are bad they will drop more, ws is hoping good news about refinancing debt will offset the bad earnings news. After the dust settles ws will be laying off employees, earnings will be poor, we will still be deep deep in insurmountable debt with higher interest payments. The stock will then slowly edge back down to a buck after that. Play the game and make a little money if that is why you are here. If you work her, they are no longer giving merit increases, what more hints do you need that it’s a dead end and even management is admitting it. Stick around for a paycheck until they let us go or find better work

Hi newinvestor, get run out of the yahoo finance board? Most of those here have personal experience and inside knowledge of the company and are not here to make a profit off of stock manipulation, having a job is their livelihood. They know the company is in deep sh-t and at best, a positive ruling in court or finding someone to refinance debt will just delay the inevitable. This is just extending the time executives get paid and bonuses while thinning the company to keep the lights on. They could give two sh-ts about how much money you are hoping to make off the stock

The stock isn't doing good. It might look good because it's up 10% today, but take a look at the 5 day, 1 more, 1 year and tell me how it's doing. Oh, you forgot about the reverse split too. We are still at 65 CENTS per share in reality.

Productivity and morale increases when employees are treated right. Definitely not happening at WS.

Maybe if some of you bad apples that spend all day here whining just quit, we wouldn’t have to have layoffs. Morale, productivity, would go up, and payroll would go down. Win win!

I can't believe how many upper management spend their time on here trying to convince us that everything is OK. Save that for Tony and his underlings.

I read the linked article. It’s a nothing burger. It doesn’t say anything new, just about the arguments on both sides and how judge has not said or hinted how he will or when he will decide. I believe Windstream WINS

Dirty South, I’ll bet you your monthly paycheck that WIn wins the court case. What’s does that amount to $1200 after taxes?

Y'all are as bad as the brass on stream, except opposite. Don't count your chickens until they have hatched no decision has been made by the judges yet.

I agree it’s important. A loss wouldn’t be good! All these bond extensions till 2022 and beyond. Does that mean the company is afloat until then?

Windstream's back will be up against a major wall if they don't win, hope the Judge rules in favor of Windstream this time.
