Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Risk of looking for a new job

I got laid off on ground of being active on LinkedIn and looking for job, liked several posts (translated as supporting competition business!)

Can this be true? I've been trying to find a new job for a few months now, through LinkedIn as well as other venues. Am I really risking being laid off when doing this? How is that legal?

Umm, if you're looking for another job on the company's computer, you will be expedited.

Use your phone, eh?

We have been thought by slb that looking for job is a geniuene sign of demotivated employee, that is a good reason for letting go. Not only in slb, every employer does that.

They wont say you you got laidoff because you r active on link, but by letting them know you are looking for new job, you r their target, and there a milion of reason to let you go if they want you go. And to be honest they just can fire you woth some bsht reason. Slb hire lawyer fulltime for some reason.
