CSMB Financial Services outsourced to Dominican Republic. Employees are being “repurposed” to Care Reps. Today 11 of the employees that were just trained on Customer Care were moved to assignment to start training. Things feel REAL uneasy. Anyone heard anything?

I love talking to people that can’t speak English.
Oh you aint seen nothing yet. The "new" assigners will be trained for 3 weeks or so. Does that make you feel better knowing you will hold for 30 minutes only to get someone that doesnt know sh-- about outside plant? So back you will go into the endless transfer loop that assignment sag and btac has become. And yet again NO ONE in mgmnt gives a rat's a--, but make sure you meet your numbers or you will be penalized. It truly is a shame what this company has become lets not hire anyone to save money then lets outsource more and more so those of us left can do more and more fixing outsourced groups sh--. They dont give a sh-- because they dont have to talk to the customers or the techs when they screw stuff up.
Keep religion and politics off of this page. This is about lay offs. Go to fb or Twitter to argue your religion and political views
If any of us get laid tonight, it's because of Eric Bana in "Munich."
Hey everybody! We are all getting laid!
Off..
Keep your politics and religion out of this site. I just came here to see when I’m getting laid
Off
I just want to say thank you to all that have posted the negative comments on this site. I come here to remind myself how I do not want to be as a person. Constantly living in fear and negativity is no good for the soul. Believe in God and aspire to try and live like him and he will change your life my friends.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Assignment has needed help since they let they’re contractors go in December. This is about to be a disaster to say the least.
I know it's a tangential to the original thread, but some version of "how will lowering the corporate tax rate help us" at a town hall last year. The answer was essentially "we don't have corporate income to tax, so doesn't help us a bit".
I've dealt with some of the outsourced reps recently. Windstream is so proud of them like it's an international expansion of sorts and boasted about it on Stream. "Hey guys meet the cheaper, less efficient, with no common sense version of you." Same as Windstream boasting about their new VP who is going to find more efficiencies in our business by automating everything and sending your jobs over seas. All the while Mr Thomas and his band of merry VPs all talk about their excitement and welcome him to the company. I'd love to see some people who are on their way out call Mr Thomas out and force him to answer the questions and concerns everyone has. Then again if you're getting paid millions of dollars a year to run a company in the group and tickle each other guess it' doesn't matter does it.
I believe that soon, or say within the next year, all of financial services, or most will be outsourced to the Dominican Republic. I work in charlotte, and our group has gotten so small there are only so like twelve of us left. When I started so many years ago you the building was packed full. Our team is prepared for the layoff that is what is sad.
We moved a client care team to Jamaica about a month ago. After we outsource all of our jobs we will be a shell of what we used to be .
They have to do this because of their financial situation. These offshore people will work at a fraction of what it costs to employ Americans. This will be a nightmare for the customers, the level of service will go into a downward spiral quickly.
I don’t understand why we’re placing our employees in so many different countries. India, Mexico, and Dominican Republic. They’re outsourcing when they need to be automating.
