Thread regarding Aetna layoffs

Mr CEO has been heard to comment only the best people are there now. Smh, L Chandler, R Kessler are still there as well as a lot of people. I know for a fact both have been ripped apart on surveys. Some of those let go worked their butt off,and never called in.

The fact that three medical directors have left under the new leadership is also concerning. And no postings to fill the open positions yet.

SMH. Mr CEO had the gonads to say in meetings this week that people were let go because of too much staff. If that's true, why did they just hire a bunch of people? He told several fibs in his talk. I guess he thinks we're all stupid and have no memory of what's been said, by him, in prior meetings. Those who were let go are better off.

If they cared about people, would have offered early retirement to people who were ready or wanted it. Then moved people into those positions. Better yet, get rid of people who did not perform well. There's enough of them. The company will probably not be around once current contract expires they've lost so many members.

I agree. I work from home and have seen a huge shift for the worst since mr CEO really dug his hooks in. Also, our new stand in director is running our team into the ground. Workload has increased and tasks are impossible to complete in a timely manner as the work just piles up. Moral is at an all time low and the metrics have become increasingly difficult to achieve. The goal post is constantly being moved. People are failing audits all of a sudden. This to me seems like a set up. They want us to fail or feel so miserable that we just up and quit. Better for Aetna this way as they won't have to pay out severance packages to so many nurses. All they care about is money and could care less about members or employees.
